Natalie & Seina Whip Up Some Magic With MY PRIVATE PANTRY!! - Get 10% Off Your Lessons!

Hello, ladies! Remember our post on My Private Pantry earlier? Well, this is the part II we told you to look out for!

After a successful baking session for our 10th anniversary last year, we decided to embark on yet another cooking-adventure, this time, with My Private Pantry! Natalie and Seina let you in on what went on that evening...

Spotted, after a less-than-10-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station!

Here we are! 61 Tras Street!

Crystal (owner of My Private Pantry) and Vanny (manager) welcomed and showed us around.
Here's what My Private Pantry looks like on the inside - nice and intimate!

We couldn't resist taking a shot of their stash of pretty bright-yellow pots from Silit!

Class is about to start!
Ah, we see there are others like us. Photos first!

Crystal gives a brief introduction before the class started!
And, that's our instructor-for-the-evening on the right, Chef Stephan Zoisl from Austria, taking it easy before he takes the stage.
We hear he's been working at different Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe since he was 18, and has catered for huge events like the F1 Grand Prix, and several Grand Slam tennis tournaments!
The man knows what he's doing!

Ooh! Before we start, I need a picture here in my My Private Pantry apron, looking the part!

One more, please!

All the ingredients had already been nicely prepared and weighed for us!

Everyone crowds in front of Chef Stephan as he starts his demonstration on the first dish - Crepe Suzette!

Let's get down to business!
Ingredients for the batter - eggs, sugar, butter, orange, check!

If only you could smell the butter through the screen...

The batter-l begins!! Whisk, whisk, whisk... but never without a smile.

Let me pretend to be whisking too!

It's happening, everyone!

Goofing on the job...

Our first successful crepe! Yippee!

Oops! Next one didn't turn out so well, but we'll get the next three perfect!

Now, for the sauce.
Seina pours the orange-juice into the pot before adding sugar, butter and a bit of orange-liquer.

Slicing oranges for the sauce before heating it a second time!

Over it goes on the crepes, and voila!
Product of our labour - delicious Crepe Suzette!

Moving on the next dish - Chocolate Souffle!

The ingredients!

Heated a mixture of milk-with-corn-flour, and melted the chocolate-chips in.
Yes, we know... Not very pretty. But it will be!

Our artistic-mess as we prepare to pour our batter (we folded whisked egg-whites with the chocolate mixture) into buttered metal-cups!

They're in!

Our cups of souffle start to rise tall and proud in the oven!

And, in 8-10 minutes...

Ta-da!! Sexy souffles!!

Seina with her 2 yummy souffles. Mmm...

One more with the man himself, Chef Stephan Zoisl!

Group-shot!!
All the pretty ladies (Vanny, Crystal, Seina, and Natalie) and the chef (Stephan)!

We've worked hard (as you can tell from our incessant self-shots)!
